Madeleines Jean-Mi - from the heart of the Pays Basques. This is an artisan bakery that has been in the Larronde family since the 1980's. Their youngest son Iban is now running the business and continues the tradition of baking by hand using the creamy butter that is local to his bakery and no preservatives or additives.
The Madeleines are a light sponge and perfect eaten straight from the pack, or why not drizzle with a little clear honey and bake high for a few minutes to create a sweet crisp topping. A wonderful dessert or served alongside the local sweet Jurancon wine.
